After receiving many building quotes, we decided to use Jeremy Delport Construction cc this year for a big renovation project and at first, we were very impressed.

Jeremy Delport supp**** a very professional product manager who was on site a few hours each day.

During quote discussions they were very knowledgeable and provided their quotes in a very concise and easy to read way. There was a large team on site, and it seemed everything ran as it should.

These are the only positives I can give Jeremy Delport Construction.

Our project had been scaled back just prior to the builders arriving on site and we were in the process of finalising the quote. (removing items from scope of works and confirming others)

Despite requesting the updated final figures multiple times, once presented, there were certain items not credited as well as P&G items not reduced in line with the appropriate credit. Although this is standard in the industry JDC failed to do this.

We received updated costs at least every month after we called into question the aggressive increase in costs presented to us. Some went up a staggering 214%. There was absolutely no consistency in amounts presented which was a massive red flag.

Costs were not presented in an eligible way for audit and we hired our own QS to make sense of the figures, of which even this industry professional struggled.

Jeremy Delport Construction still maintain that they can charge over R51,000 for Covid 19 related expenses such as face masks, sanitizer, manuals, training etc.

There are many other items that are also of a dubious nature which has called into question the ethics of Jeremy Delport.

Unfortunately, our endeavours to conclude the majority our renovation whilst making sense of the influx of variation breakdowns calculations in the paperwork from JDC didn’t materialise and JDC walked off the site. We had no option but to project manage final items of our home renovation and sort out the snags, of which there were many including a leaking roof due to the incorrect installation.

We would not recommend that a residential home owner use Jeremy Delport Construction. </div>
