TERRIBLE, IRRATIONAL SERVICE

On Monday, 30 September at 12:45 I phoned Jeanette's Cake Creations to discuss my order and spoke to Jeanette’s daughter. At 13:02 I sent an email about my order, and requesting an invoice.

On 2 October at 16:06 I sent another email requesting an invoice and finally received it at 16:17. I made payment and emailed POP at 17:23 requesting confirmation of receipt and collection date. They rep**** that they would confirm the date when payment reflected.

On 4 October at 06:23 I requested confirmation of collection date. No reply from Jeanette's Cake Creations.

On 20 October at 17:55 I sent a message: “Good day Jeanette. This is the third request for confirmation of delivery date and time.” To which she rep**** “Good day Chantell. As per our email on 30 September, you will be picking up order 15 November at 13h00 in Garsfontein.“ and “We have rep**** to each and every email. I really don't think it's necessary to talk to us the way you do. Surely you could have phoned us if there is a problem. Please let me know if we must refund you.” and “And we do not deliver, you must collect please.” To which I rep****, “I live in Garsfontein. I did not ask for delivery.” I simply asked for a delivery of services date. I made it clear in my original emails, and emails about packaging, that I would be picking up the items. She then simply sent “Please send me your banking details.” To which I rep**** "What for" and she asked for my banking details again, no explanation.

I am working with numerous exceptionally wonderful and kind service providers, many of whom are in and around Garsfontein, for my wedding, and have not had service like this from any of them. I did everything in a timely and professional manner, as I handle all of my personal and work related matters. I did not get the same level of service and respect from Jeanette's Cake Creations. It seems highly plausible that I was never pencilled in and this was an easy out.

I am very disappointed in Jeanette's Cake Creations. Your work is immaculate, but your attitude lacking greatly. Not only am I a dependable client, but we are practically neighbours, both living in Garsfontein. I honestly expected better from you Jeanette. Luckily our award winning and lovely cake creators have already offered to step in, as they realise the value in proper customer service.

I appreciate the swift refund so I can scramble to find someone else willing to provide the services you had agreed to provide. If only your response time to my other requests was as fast. Best of luck in your business endeavours.
