Very poor product

Bought the straightener a week ago emailed them the same day and got no response. went to the store a week thereafter and was told they had not received the email but when cand it kept pulling my hair and the plates were coming off, the iron kept switching on and off. I hecked with the staff the email address was correct and was in my sent box. They verbalized that my proof was not valid to them. They had refused to give me a refund and said if they were to give me a refund it would be only R400 from the R1700 I spent. Really disappointed and heartbroken considering how hard I worked to save up to buy this iron.
