We needed welding work done in December, he gave us a price for the work and we sent the deposit (no contractors work without a prior deposit, including my own company). Every time we were scheduled to do the work he gave excuses – 90% of discussions were on telephone so no records. Eventually he told us that we are stroppy and difficult and he does not want to work with us (Totally unjustified – I have witnesses to my side of the conversation) – he asked for our bank details so that he could return the deposit. This was on 21 December. Despite numerous phone calls, messages etc we still have not received the deposit. We have been called all sorts of derogatory names, sworn at and treated terribly. He has blocked all of our phone numbers so that we cannot call him about the money any longer. This is the reason that the messages are on multiple phones as we use a different number to contact him once he blocks us. I do not want this person to do this to anyone else in future, however, he is using facebook as his advertising platform in order to catch people.
