Bad Service and millions of excuses

This is a truthful account of what happened to us and it is in the public interest I post this. I contacted Jaco Albert to install our gate motor after responding to a Facebook post by his wife. He showed up on the 15th of September, unprepared and has not come back to complete the work yet. We paid him R6300, he basically dropped off the motor and has been making excuses ever since. After weeks of excuses, a visit to the police to open a case against him, and him threatening my husband, we gave him two options, to pay the difference so we can pay another installer, and provide us with the warranty and invoice where he bought the motor (so we can be sure it is a new and not ****** motor) or he can pay us back the total sum and take back the motor (EVEN THOUGH HE SAID HE WILL REFUND US IN TOTAL AND GIVE US THE MOTOR FOR FREE IF HE FAILED TO INSTALL THE MOTOR ON THE 16TH OF OCT - NO JOKES IN HIS OWN WORD - IN PRINT). He declined both options and said he will return today (24 October), along with threats. After all the threats we decided to proceed with our documentation for the small claims court, and we asked all the groups on Facebook that advertise their posts to take it off as they are catching people and bolting with their money. That was the latest excuse for not coming today, along with more threats. Only after my husband told Jaco that he is threatening us and clearly intending harm, he said the only harm he intends is to make a charge against us for defamation of character. Even though all we said was truthful and in public interest.

I would say be careful with your money. I would never recommend Jaco Albert, or JDA Project to anyone.
