Custom Garage Door Drama

September 12, 2016, my mom and I walked into JD Wooden Touch in Alrode. Armed with online pictures of what we wanted, after a chit-chat with a staff member called Carl, we were informed that they can deliver what we wanted. Carl gave me his mobile number to send the picture of the custom garage door we wanted, via whatsapp. After some deliberation with another staff member called Shanthan, we were handed a quotation and left. Payment was made around noon on the same day, proof of payment emailed to staff member called Martin, just after 13h00.
October 29, 2016, I came home to find a garage door installed - it wasn't what we ordered. The installation guys were still on our premises, when they handed us the delivery note, I expressed vehemently in writing on the note, that the door supp**** was not the door we expected.
I had called the office and spoken to Martin, he said Carl was not available, he would pass my message to him. I did not hear from Carl until the end of the week following the installation. In his call he said he will be fired for this mishap. I empathised with him, then he said he would speak to his boss to see what can be done. He asked me to send him a pic of the door at my house. He said he himself had not even laid eyes on the door!
Second week following installation, I was still not happy looking at their door. I had tried to like it but, it just isn't working out. I went to Alrode to express my dissatisfaction. I was met by Carl who told me point blank that he did not have his boss's contact number when I had asked for them. I then spoke to Martin who said he would take the matter up with his boss. (Shanthan was making hand gestures to Carl while I was chatting with Martin).
Later they argued that the picture I had sent them was that of a single door garage. Since ours is a double door, the glass panels would be double the quantity. I then sent them again yet another picture of a double door garage, same as what we wanted - with less glass panels. This time their argument was that the picture I sent is that of an aluminum+glass, not wood+glass, so it won't be the same. Their arguments keep changing I swear it'll make your head spin.
When we first made contact with this store, they had told us that they do manufacture custom styles. Their door installed at our house vs the door we showed them....... 2 different doors. I swear they took a standard 40panel wooden door and replaced the wood panels with glass. What we ordered was a custom glass+wood door. They have numerous pics sent to them, there's no excuse for what they did. I'm tired of having my intelligence insulted by these people. My next move will be a letter to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombuds. Their boss is constantly busy when it comes to OUR concerns. I'm beginning to think that we're being looked down upon and not taken seriously because our address reads township and not some larny surburb. Well, township R10 is the same value as surburb R10. All I want is what I ordered from the very start, no more, no less. And I will not carry the costs for your mishap.
I let slide the fact that the pivot door was delivered still dripping oil, after over a whole month since ordered. I let slide that you claim your fire door is same price as normal door. Now you want to convince me that the pics I sent were of a single door and that I should pay for modifications needed. Try again.

I'm glad to share the news that JD Wooden Touch set up an appointment with us. They came on site to listen and try resolve our issue. Johan & Jacque came to our home on Thursday morning - 1 December. After some chit chat, they informed us that they will be modifying our door to what we had wanted and pictured. I was so happy I almost cried
