Jc's X-ellent Coatings

I've got a poster in my postbox from them saying that they are busy in my area with work and therefor they could pass their excellent prices on to me. At that stage I needed paintwork on the ceilings of 4 of my rooms. On the 20th of October 2021 they gave me quote for the work to be done. I asked whether this job is not too small for them, but they assured me nothing is too small for them. At that stage I paid a 75% deposit. I asked them when they will be available and they said the next week 27/28/29 October. We accepted that. On the quote they mentioned that they only use a very well known brand of paint which was also known to me. When the workers arrive on the 27th it was a total different brand of paint of which I haven't heard of. When I contact Jean and queried the paint he was very rude to me and said that he is not a cheapy and that this was a very small job for them, in contrast what they said in the beginning. I decided to accept the other brand of paint.. The last room did not went well because it was not evenly covered. I also at that stage made the final payment on which he said the Guarantee will now be emailed to me and promised to come in person to have a look at the ceiling. He promised he is now in Pretoria, then go to Sandton after then he will come to my place. Since then , no phone call, no visit, no guarantee no nothing, more than a month later. I am not worried about the guarantee because it will not be worth the paper it will be written on, and they will anyway not honour it. Never is a long time, but never in my life again and i will not recommend them at all.
