JCF is disorganised and slow - Took 4 weeks to fix my car rear
Just over 4 weeks ago (on a monday), my vehicle was rear ended, relatively minor damage, nothing structural. I had Naked tow the vehicle using one of their authorised companies. The vehicle sat at the SMD yard for the whole business week. On the Sunday (6/7 days later), I got an email where Naked Insurances assessor approved the vehicle for repairs (he had CC'd the repair company JCF Motors Panel Beaters). This is where the first issue came up. He provided approval and instruction for JCF to tow the car, but only in a small sentence at the end of the email (which shouldve been picked up by JCF but still).
That was on Sunday. Then on Thursday, 4 business days later, I phoned asking for an update... they had still not fetched my car. I pushed them to, and they found the email and saw there was actual approval. So on friday morning I phoned to see if they got my car. They hadnt... I got a call late that friday that they had picked it up, far too late to do any work. It had now been two weeks and no work had been done on my car.
I phoned the following week, voicing that I had spoken to BMW and a third party and they advised I inspect my gearbox since it slide in park and is an automatic. This was on Monday, and only midway through the week, JCF towed my car to BMW to be inspected. My car then sat at BMW for 2 days, because Naked Insurance tried to pull a fast one and claim since i had requested the inspection, I will pay for it if nothing cames back damaged. I spoke to the family lawyer, and he told me to advise them that this would be ******* and why, since I had not actually requested it, it just shouldve been done.
Now, after a third week of waiting, my car was inspected by BMW and towed back to JCF tuesday/wednesday the following week.
JCF, only now began part sourcing. For whatever reason, it took them until yesterday (a whole week) to have the parts delivered, parts they couldve ordered almost 3 weeks ago.
Now, 4 and a half weeks after the collision, I was advised they need a further 3-4 business days to spray the parts to match my vehicle. So all in all, this process would have taken 5 and a half weeks to repair a fender bender. Naked Insurance has not acknowledged my complaint regarding the claims assessor not doing his job properly resulting in my car sitting idle for a week and half, and JCF has shown no urgency to get my vehicle repaired, given it took them almost 2 weeks after getting the car to order the parts.
