No delivery and no refund

<p>I ordered a bedroom set including a custom made desk, drawer set, pedestal and special mirror for my daughter’s birthday from Jandre and Chantelle Coetzer at JC Custom Pallet Furniture due for delivery on the 31st of May. They sent a very professional quote with a company registration (***) with what looks like a legit website: www.jccustompalletfurniture.co.za, email address: ********** everything. I later realised they have 2 facebook pages: "JC Custom Pallet furniture" and "JC Custom Pallet furniture pty LTD". Also, none of their documentation contains a real address. When you click on the map in Facebook, it just takes you to Bokbsurg central. </p> <p>Anyway, they charged a 50% deposit of R3133,90 which was transferred as soon as they confirmed they could do it. I asked for photos on progress which they kept promising but never sent. On the delivery date they called me to say that the desk was not finished and they could not deliver. I was very upset since I had no other gift and would be empty handed for my daughter’s birthday. They offered to deliver what was done that same night and I agreed. They did not arrive, did not even call or respond to messages. They just sent me a sarcastic note at midnight saying "Gonna leave in a minute".</p> <p>The following day they sent a mail saying that they will no longer be delivering but that they would refund the deposit. This did not happen. The following Monday, they sent me pictures of a headboard, a completely different mirror and 2 drawer sets asking if they should deliver. I declined and said I wanted my money back as agreed to which they eventually rep**** that they were going to get money on the weekend. Of course this was not refunded and they were not responding to calls or messages.</p> <p>When I eventually got hold of Jandre (calling from another landline) he said he would pay me back before putting the phone down on me which, naturally they did not.</p> <p>I wish someone would have warned me about this company in time.</p>
