Think twice before ordering from jammers Bridal Boutique
I came across Jammers Bridal Boutique via an instagram promotion and upon viewing the page, the follower count looked high enough to be legit and I enquired about an order for PJs & slippers for my bridal party for my wedding. Getting the invoice and discussions on the products was relatively easy and seamless up until payment; and then updates, information, acknowledgement and detail took quite a while and was assured the delays were due to excess orders, busy enquiries, Black Friday orders and so on and would update me soonest. Totally understandable for the time of year so I wasn't too pushy with having the business respond quickly - should have been my first sign not to go ahead with the order. There is also no way other than IG direct messages to liase with the supplier - sign number 2.
My order arrived 3 weeks after promised delivery date, and only supp**** once I enquired as to when it would arrive and if we were on track (the new date she gave me was after my wedding and I had to remind her of the previously agreed date).
When the products were eventually received, they had flaws and incorrect sizing across the order. The bridal gown and robe set are nothing like the images advertised and the robe is miles too big for me (despite having sent my measurements as this is supposed to be custom made). The dainty lace displayed in the image is actual hard "lace" that resembles something like a kitchen brookie lace looks like. My white PJ set ordered for me to get ready in was just as much of a disaster - the top is the correct size, however the bottoms are so small they were unwearable.
One of my brides****s sets was very small and did not fit her (despite measurements being sent) and another set had runs and flaws from the collar down the full top so could not be worn.
The satin is also not great quality - its quite hard to the touch and stains with any form of liquid and ladders easily.
I ordered slippers to go with the PJ sets - the size 5 shoe was sent as a size 3 so was also unusable.
As the supplier went awol after delivery, I had to unfortunately turn to another supplier to replace the damaged goods so myself and my brides****s had something to get ready in.
I have reached out to return the flawed & incorrect items for return and refund, and have been told that there are no refunds as everything is custom made. The items however sent to me are incorrect in size, not as advertised and use interior materials to produce so goods received do not match goods advertised and is thus false advertising. I contested the "no refunds" reply due to faulty products, items not being as advertised and incorrect sizes and have been completely ignored. There is also no other way of getting hold of the supplier than via IG direct mail (this should have been a giveaway that something was off).
Upon closer inspection of the page, I noticed there are almost no comments on any of the posts, and any comments made on the current posts asking for responses and feedback are quickly deleted. Again, this should have been a warning sign in hindsight.
Unfortunately with the business having no physical address, store, phone number, email etc, I am unable to leave a Google review, and other than instagram inbox, no way of contacting this supplier so hoping this warns others to do their homework before ordering.
Expensive lesson learnt, but will do my homework better next time.
