Jackson's spreads lies after being turned down.

We approached Jackson's via email after being referred by somebody at a market. This person sang their praises so we mailed saying we heard great things and and would like to supply. The owner Gary rep**** by forwarding the mail to one of his staff members and but doesn't say thank you for the lovely feedback or hi I'm the owner or anything, his mail simply said and I quote "Hi Paul, got this inquiry." and that was it! Which we thought was kinda rude anyway we left it there. About tow weeks later after no hearing from them, I sent Paula a message saying we were really keen to get in and were disappointed they didn't reply, wished them all the best and had no intention of contacting them again. THEN, Paula replies (to the same thread as the original messages so there is no way what she said was true or honest) that she's (and again I quote) "not sure where the emails went." So I rep**** saying, "I'm sure, to the same address they are going now"... Anyway she said the market was over-saturated and that they didn't need more of that kind of product. So I rep**** saying thank you, that's fine but our products is in a different league and it's a pity you you have judged it with all the other brands but not a problem and again wished them all the best and left it there. Then she replies saying "ok please send samples to the store and she will get Gary to taste them along with prices and other info". We had already sent that info firstly and secondly by now, were no longer interested in supplying the store as we are an independent business and can choose who we want to work with and we don't choose rude or dishonest people. So I rep**** by simply saying "that ship has sailed."

Later that evening I get a message from the person who referred us saying that she got a call a call from Jackson's saying we were harassing them and that we said this and that - all manufactured lies - and basically was very upset that here name was used. I said to here the only time your name was used is when we approached them initially and I said you referred us WHICH SHE DID - but which she at this point decided to deny saying she forgot. That situation escalated to the point where her husband sent me death threats, but that's not important because she was obviously **** to as well. So, in closing Jackson's obviously don't like being turned down and be warned that if you do, they might try and spread blatant lies about you. Terrible attitude from the owner Gary, dishonest lies by the employee Paula and just an appalling experience from the start. I emphatically recommend that nobody attempt to supply these arrogant, rude and dishonest individuals. Really quite disgusting and the only reason I can think of for them deliberately falsifying information and going out of their way to spread lies is because they are not used to people turning them down. I spoke to my attorney and have decided to not file for a defamation suite but be warned!
