SICKENING AND DISGUSTING PERSONNEL IN JACKSON AND BLACK TYGER

Let me provide some background and context to this review, it was our first time going to this establishment. So on Monday 3 July, I called Jackson and Black establishment to make a reservation for 3 people, and the reservation was successfully made. The weather outside was cold and slightly windy as the time was around 17:00, we were seated by the waitrons in a covered outside seating area, we then requested to be placed at an inside table as it was quite cold where we were seating. There were a number of empty tables inside that they kept on saying were reserved for other people who had not arrived yet. Which did not really make sense as we also called prior to make a reservation, arrived before the "supposed" people but were still refused to seat inside despite of all the empty tables right in front of us. We insisted and spoke to about three waitrons (the back and forth lasted roughly 30 minutes) before another table was cleared and were finally seated there. The woman at the front door that was busy on the phone and seemed to be in charge of signing customers in on her piece of paper upon arrival was so rude the whole time while we tried to sort out our seating area situation.

Finally, we ordered our drinks and food while being assisted by a very nice and welcoming gentleman. The turnaround time for our drinks and food was reasonable, however, they had to go back and redo my order (lamb chops) as they were soaking in blood. barely cooked and tough to even cut through.

After finishing my juice, I looked around the establishment trying to locate the "Ladies" and eventually decided to ask one of the employees. That was the worst mistake I could make that made my experience being there even more terrible. The lady I referred to earlier that was by the door taking people in was the closest person in my proximity and was just standing there; I respectfully asked her where the ladies were. Before I could even finish my sentence, she rudely pointed her finger up indicating that I must immediately shut up, and said "Can't you see I am busy?, I am busy!" and then carried on with a conversation she was having with someone else with no care whatsoever as I stood there looking at her. I swallowed a huge lump in my throat as her approach was firstly very hurtful, dismissive, and as if she was speaking to a child. Instead of causing a scene, I glanced around and asked the waitron that was serving us (who politely and quickly pointed me to the right direction within 2 seconds). My colleagues and I were so disappointed and disgusted with the experience we had at this establishment and were even wondering whether was it because of our skin colour, because it is not like they are doing us a favour, we were paying customers just like everyone else that they took the extra effort to assist (who were predominantly white race).

We were testing the place out to actually see if it would be suitable for our financial year-end function of more than 30 people, but we cannot, in good faith recommend this place to anyone for that matter. Such a disappointed and undermining demeanor that lady has and her behavior will be the detriment of the entire establishment because I could notice that even the waiters were afraid or scared of her. I just hope they are not being bul****, disrespected or made to feel less than just because they need the job.
