Poor Attitude

Visited Jackson and Black Strand a few times and were always impressed with the good quality food, atmosphere and of course a beautiful view. Had breakfast on Saturday morning. I noticed that knives and forks and serviettes are in plastic sleeves. A lady ***ner from what I gathered) came around and asked if everything was good and I confirmed, and just asked why would they change to using plastic sleeves when situated right next to the beach - wow did expect a bit more - the answer was a sigh, telling me that it is a frustration and she is so tired of trying to keep everyone happy. You can't please everybody and if I realize how much it costs her for the packaging. You know what lady - I immediately lost my respect for you. As an owner of a business next to the beach, I would at least considered my options and try an alternative to plastic sleeves. Also, I picked up the discarded sleeve from a previous patron under our table and took our sleeves home to recycle. Please ask you waiters then to ensure that the plastic sleeves are picked up and I do hope you recycle. What a shame to have such a beautiful setting and not think of the impact you make - of course you worry about your profit margin. I may be a tree hugger, but I am also a consumer and you also benefit from my visits and money. Just saying...
