Do not join the book club!

I joined the Disney Book Club towards the end of 2013, received the backpack and 4 books promised, and 2014 calendar. In May 2014 I decided to cancel my subscription coz the monthly fee of around R150 was too expensive for the two very thin books they send. So I cancelled May 2014, saw another debit go off thereafter for books that were en route to me. I accepted this because they have a 28-day notice, but no1 tells you this when you cancel, so the additional debit was an unwelcome surprise!!<br> Nov 2014 another debit goes off (R159.99) as another unwelcome surprise. Only after enq I'm told it's for a 2015 yearbook which I could return and get a refund for (but they don't include a paid for envelope for return!). I kept the yearbook and calendar coz it was cute tho. I then receive an inv for payment which I ignored coz the money came off my acc already. Then I just rec another inv for imm payment or handover to coll bureau. When calling it was escalated to manager who adv the cal and yearbook are charged sep at R159.99 each!!! ridiculously exp for what you get. I compl that no1 tells you this so you always get misinfo!<br> Rather go Exclusive Books or [URL Removed]
