wrongful rejection of claim

I submitted a claim for car fire damage on the 27/12/2017 which was rejected on 19/01/2018 . Reason fir rejection was i did not disclosed my regular driver's CONVICTION of DUI at point of sale which was in april 2017. My partner was convicted of DUI in court held in November 2017. How was i suppose to disclose a conviction befor he was convicted.
