we are still waiting for assistance from the insurance. i keep on being told there is a third party involved. for a whole month i am not getting proper feedback.

my mom was injured in a riot, she was in so much pain and the last thing she needed is the run around from the insurance. they could not fix our car window till now. i ask myself what would have happened if the entire car was damaged. now for a whole month she cannot drive that car to work due to the car not having a window. this is definitely not acceptable and she is undergoing physiotherapy and i also called the insurance on her behalf. today they took my number and said their supervisor will call after a few minutes and i am still waiting. i hope we do most have to cancel this because we insured all cars and the house with them. we don't want to badmouth them either before giving them a chance.

Hello jess51089,

We're sorry to hear that your Mom was hurt and we hope that she is okay and recovering.

The claim that your Mom submitted has been registered with SASRIA because her vehicle was damaged as a result of a group taking part in a riot. As per your policy wording in your General Terms & Conditions policy section:

17.2 SASRIA SOC Ltd covers you for any accidental or deliberate damage to your insured property caused by any person or group taking part in a riot, strike, lockout, public disorder or civil commotion.

Lysandra Venter, Claims Team Leader, submitted this claim to SASRIA and has been following up with them daily but it appears that we didn't keep you updated for which we apologise. This has been addressed with Lysandra and her team.

We can confirm that SASRIA has authorised your Mom's claim and the damage to the vehicle can now be repaired. Please don't hesitate to contact Gerhard Oosthuizen, claims consultant, *** or should you have any queries or you can email *** .

Kind regards
Rodwell
