Warning: PINEAPPLE 🍍, IWYZE, OLD MUTUAL ****

Please do not fall for this ****!!!!! I took a car insurance with Pineapple 🍍 car insurance last year and have Never missed my premiums

1. I got in an accident on the 30 June 2022, in the AMs and reported the matter the same day - shared all required documentation

2. I was given a number then contacted by an investigators from Iwyze which shocked me because I didn’t know that I was dealing with Iwyze and would have not joined as they have a lot of complaints relating to rejection of claims. This was more of an interrogation- it was more like they didn’t believe that I was in an accident

3. fast forward.. I didn’t get any feedback within 7 days as promised so I started following up on email (no response), Pineapple WhatsApp (advised that they will escalate all the times but no one called) & called Iwyze claims department (hold the line for over an hour with no success)… this went on for over a month and I was also debited for the month after claiming (still not refunded)

4. After a month, someone else called me - they requested more documentation and took me to the scene of the accident which I still don’t understand why and that process took about 3 weeks

5. I was then advised that my claim was rejected because I was over the speed limit. They did not consider the time of the accident and reasons I could have been over the speed limit at the time

From the beginning, they have been looking for a reason to reject my claim instead of assisting. The car was written off and it was worth over R400,000.00

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: Pineapple is a front end to Mislead customers into business with Iwyze because their brand is damaged

At the end, no one complains about Pineapple, because the claim are rejected by IWYZE - less complaints for pineapple the front end

Old mutual, Iwyze & Pineapple is one big **** insurance company you should look out for (they appear as three entities on Hippo but it’s one company and a BIG ****- I DONT EVEN KNOW ONE PERSON THAT THEY’VE PAID) all people are complaining

At no point I was told about driving within the speed limit and this is very critical as the car moves through speed - customers are never told about this when taking up the cover ante told about riots instead

Never make a mistake and insure your car with any of this **** COMPANY BECAUSE YOU WILL PAY FOR NOTHING- IWYZE or OLD MUTUAL or PINEAPPLE 🍍 IT’S ONE COMPANY

They are even refusing to give me the calls when I moved to them because there was something then offered to install on my car to track monthly travel KM and I refused by telling them that I DO NOT WAANT THEM TO TRACK MY DRIVING - at this stage their constant did not bother to tell me that I’m only covered when I drive within the SPEED LIMIT!!!! According to them, I’m suppose to read the long document and know it word for word- not their consultants
