VAPS - Tyre and rim unreachable

I have been with Old mutual Iwyze for years for my comprehensive car insurance and I have investments with Old mutual. Few months ago I received a call for VAPS so I decided to take out tyres and rim cover. Last week Friday (4th November) I had an accident with my tyre when hit a pothole. I then drove to the nearest tyre shop after changing to a spare wheel. When I got to the tyre shop I was told the tyre can not be repaired and I then started calling iwyze, Whn you get to VAPS IVR the option for tyre and rims takes you to another department altogether and they ask to transfer you and it rang until I ran out of airtime, I called again same thing happens until it says it not available or drops it self I spend rands and rands on airtime, I used their call back service and no one bothered to call me back until today, I ended up paying from my own pocket with the hope that I will get refund.

On Monday (7th November ) I sent iwyze an email with my query and invoice and followed up with a call that did the same thing as well as a call back that wasn't returned. Up until today I haven't received any feedback from them even after writing an email to complaints departments on Wednesday (9th November)

I am really starting to wonder if VAPS tyre and rim department for iwyze really exists or it just a **** to get R145 from us because they can't be reached when you need to claim.
