Unsuccessful comprehensive household cover

I learnt that the cover for household isn’t comprehensive, they **** to me when I took the cover. They apparently don’t cover electric power damage to appliances. What does comprehensive imply?? People should be on alert or take other insurance cover, they lady I spoke to said.
