Unfair claims rejection

This review outlines the severe breakdown in service, communication, and procedural fairness experienced with iWYZE car insurance following a claim on June 7th. The policy was voided based on a contested allegation of material non-disclosure, followed by ********* conduct regarding vehicle handling and denial of access to evidence. 1. Unjustified Claim Rejection and Policy Voidance The policy was voided based on allegations of misrepresentation regarding my financial history, which I dispute and have provided evidence against. - Debt Review Status: I disclosed my debt review history and confirmed that it was cancelled in 2022. I successfully arranged a payment plan with Capitec and have made consistent monthly payments of R3,000 since January 2023 without default. - Defaults and Court Judgements: I confirmed no court judgements and no defaults (meaning loans 3 months in arrears). iWYZE cherry-picked arrears from my credit report despite the report summary stating “no defaults” and “no judgements.” I also provided proof of payments on my bank statements to prove consistent payments. - Crucial Misrepresentation: iWYZE falsely told the Ombudsman that I had not disclosed my debt review status, which I explicitly did. This shows deliberate misrepresentation to justify the rejection. 2. Post-Accident Service and Procedural Failures - On June 9th, I received an SMS that the assessment report was complete, but despite multiple requests, iWYZE has never provided me with the report. - On June 12th, my claim was verbally rejected by Zaine Mafuyeke on the basis of “defaults.” I immediately sent six months of bank statements to disprove this. A voidance letter followed on June 13th. 3. Unauthorised Movement of Vehicle and Storage Liability - iWYZE moved my vehicle without my knowledge or consent while the claim was still under investigation. - Auction Nation confirmed the car was stocked on June 11th. I was never informed. Gloria Machete admitted iWYZE moved the car to avoid storage fees at the original panel beater, attempting to transfer storage liability to me. - I was then told I am liable for storage fees for a car iWYZE moved without consent. 4. Obstruction of Evidence and Prior Service Failure - iWYZE denied me access to call recordings, insisting I travel to Old Mutual buildings to listen instead of emailing them as they had done for other calls. - On May 31st, roadside assistance failed when I called iWYZE. They never arrived, forcing me to call my dealership for help. iWYZE only offered to cover R1,500 towing but never issued an apology. Summary iWYZE **** to the Ombudsman by claiming I did not disclose my debt review status, rejected my claim using cherry-picked data, and engaged in ********* practices.
