After our beloved son died in a vehicle accident while he was the driver, IWYZE investigated the claim and made a pre-empted conclusion based on statistics. They focussed on human error and are blaming our son for drinking and driving rather to focus on the cause of the accident eg high accident zone and vehicle turning suddenly (presumably to avoid something in road). According to IWYZE officials they have a witness who observed our son drinking a beer and iWYZE company policy constitutes that this is sufficient justification for iWYZE to reject the claim IMMEDIATELY. It is henceforth also not necessary to proof any illegitimate behaviour. He thus requested me to waiver and cancels the claim in order to finalise the matter. I was very emotional and vulnerable at the time, however I requested them to send me an email with sound advise. I then mentioned that if this is the norm I honestly believe that thousands of SA citizens will have to reconsider whether insurance is really worthwhile and this need to be communicated and emphasized specifically with iWYZE clients.
