Think Twice Before Choosing Iwyze: My Horrible Experience

I am writing this review out of deep dissatisfaction and disappointment with the service I received from Iwyze Insurance. I recently lodged a claim following a traumatic car accident that occurred at night on a dark, isolated road. I was being followed by another car and, fearing for my safety, I drove faster than the speed limit to escape what felt like a life-threatening situation. During this ordeal, a stray horse suddenly ran into the road and I was unable to avoid a collision.

The police were at the scene, and due to the trauma and shock I experienced, I honestly don’t recall every detail I may or may not have shared in the accident report. I was disoriented and not in the right frame of mind to explain that I had been followed or to provide full context – the police only asked basic questions about my direction and what I hit.

Despite this context, Iwyze rejected my claim outright, solely because I was driving over the speed limit. They made zero effort to understand the circumstances or offer any form of support or middle ground. There was no empathy, no proper communication – just a cold rejection and a “not our problem” attitude. This is not how you treat a customer who has just experienced a traumatic event.

To make matters worse, they charged me nearly R6200 for towing my car, without my knowledge or consent. They moved my vehicle from the province where the accident occurred to another province entirely – a completely unnecessary and unauthorized decision. Since my claim was rejected, I was forced to pay for this myself. I never agreed to this and was given no choice or explanation.

This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Iwyze Insurance has proven to me that they do not care about their clients – especially in moments when support is most needed. Their customer service is nonexistent, and they show no intention of resolving matters in a fair or humane manner.

I will NEVER, EVER recommend Iwyze to anyone – not in my lifetime. If you value your peace of mind, stay far away from this company. Insurance is supposed to give you security, not add to your trauma. Iwyze has failed me on every front.
