Still very unhappy

They are supposedly trying to get the claim changed from a write off to a repair, but I phoned them this morning and one of the call center people told me the person handling my claim emailed the auctioneers stating I will want to buy back the vehicle and according to them the panelbeater that the insurance sent the car to themselves for assessment whose quote is about 50k less than what the insurance got with their digital assessment through pictures isn't up to their standards and because of the ridiculously more expensive digital assessment quote the car is uneconomical to repair and they keep pushing to write off the car. The accident happened on the 24th of September already and I submitted the claim on the 25th with all required documents and they keep dragging it out. The car has already been registered at an auction company but they are so slow to help me with my claim. Seems to me they are just trying to drag this out and push until I let them write the car off. Their latest argument was that there could be suspension damage that the panelbeater didn't pick up and the panelbeaters were nice enough to take the car to have it checked and there was no suspension damage.

Manager promised me I'd get a proper update today before close of business and got nothing.

Not really surprised

I was told by the manager that I need to get a letter from my bank financing the vehicle that gives them permission to give me a buyback option before they can give me a claim outcome while they are "considering" changing the claim from a write off to a repair. Seems to me like they have no intention of reconsidering

The excuse for not giving me feedback yesterday as promised was that I need to get a letter from my finance house which they told me this morning doesn't exist and that all insurance companies should know that.

Also got the assessors quote and noted there are things on the quote that wasn't even on my vehicle and even with that information they refuse to reconsider
