Selling insurance under false pretenses
I am very disappointed with the service I have received from Iwyze, especially because I am a new client and had very high expectations as Iwyze is a division of Old Mutual, whom I have been a client for a few years now and have had good service from.
I was quoted the attached and took out a car insurance policy, and my account was debited with R1193.77, as well as an initiation fee of R250, both on 1 November 2017, for the month of November. On 25 November 2017, to my surprise, an amount of R1491.71 was debited from my account for the month of December.
When I inquired with customer service, I was told that the quote was prorated for 1 November to 25 November, and that R1491.71 is my actual premium for a full month. I then told the agent that when I was quoted, this was not explained to me. Should that have been the case, I would not have taken the policy in the first place.
I explained this to the agent and asked for the recording. The agent then advised that he would log a call/case for me with the complaints department and have the tape couried to me within 3 working days as he is unable to email it. He also mentioned that I would get a reference number via email. It has been weeks now and I still have not received a reference number, or the recording.
Could my premium please be rectified to match the attached quote ASAP. I would hate to have to leave Iwyze because of this.
Your speedy assistance in this regard will be highly appreciated.
