Rejected Claim

As existing Iwyze customer for the past 7 odd years, without any claims I had to log my first claim. This was a claim against the building Insurance. My overhead kitchen containing all my glasses fell to the ground, well landed on my Granite top first, breaking a chunk out of the Granite and then to the floor. So now a whole piece of my cupboard is gone, broken out from the side cupboard and top Mountings. Im left with a whole in my granite. So I submit the claim, the assessor came out quickly to assess. After 2 weeks I called to get an update on the claim. At this stage the claim was rejected. They just had to notify me still. The representative said he will mail me the rejection letter.... Well long story short, the claim was rejected due to Defective Design.... so the same overhead cupboard only lasted 18 odd year and the decided to fall. I bought the house with the cupboard as is, so how would I have known that my kitchen suffered from bad design... crazy. Well I managed to cancel my policy and move on. I will never use them again.
