Pay back the money
I have had an incident on the 13.04.2016 that required urgent assistance. I called the iAlert number to request for a tow-truck as my car broke down in the afternoon peak traffic. A consultant then called back to advise that my insurance policy is suspended and therefore assistance to tow my vehicle will be done, but to the towing operators yard as they can only confirm if premiums were paid the next day! This is preposterous as the payment was done way back on the 24th March 2016 - I needed the vehicle towed home which was in the range of 10kms. The iAlert consultant did quote me R750 to have my vehicle towed at my own cost. What is the point of Insurance??? When I needed assistance, I did not receive it. For being part of the Oldmutual group of companies, I find this highly disgusting. I also had a home emergency on the 1st April 2016 and there to, the iAlert consultant confirmed that I am not covered. Is this not breach of contract as the policy document states that I am automatically covered for the Home Emergency Service
