Old Mutual not offering services as promised.

My Car is insured with Old Mutual Car Insurance and one fo the 'benefits' they claim to offer is free emergency road side assistance. I was stranded last night in the darkness and Old Mutual was unreachable to assist...

On 8 June 2022 I was stranded because my cars battery had a problem (The car is 6 months old so it's not due to poor service etc..). I call the emergency number that is provided on my policy, every time I select option 1 for emergency assistance the call just cuts, the one time I got threw I spoke to a representative who identified herself as Thandeka, I confirmed my cell phone number with her and shortly after the call cut, she didn't call me back. I tried calling again multiple times but after selecting option 1 the call would cut.

I called today 9 June 2022 and spoke to a representative who identified herself as Gugu, I explained the situation and said I would like to cancel this benefit and receive a discount on my policy, she explained how it was a free benefit and so it's not something that can be canceled and reimbursed... How sneaky... If I pay for something that offers a list of benefits obviously the price covers those benefits...

I don't want to be paying for a benefit that Old Mutual Car Insurance is not offering.
