OLD MUTUAL IWYZE INSURANCE TWO MONTHS DELAY IN FIXING THE CAR *** *** Following the damage on my car on 11 November 2023, two months have passed awaiting the commencement of repairs. The delay is caused by the Old Mutual Iwyze Insurance’s decision to repair the damaged radiator instead of replacing it as well as well as replacement of Steering Knuckles, CTR & Rear Trim, Wheels and Shock Absorbers damaged at the accident. The situation has been aggravated by the refusal of Iwyze insurance to extend the car rental despite the unprecedented two months delay awaiting authorization. On 13 December 2023, Mr Flipper Pieterse confirmed the commencement of repairs. On 8th January 2024 Mr Pieterse provided a vague answer when asked about the state of repairs in the car, only to find out a day later that the repair process has not commenced pending authorization to replace critical damaged parts instead of repairing them. The two months agonising waiting process is an unprecedented one in the history of car insurance companies in South Africa. It is either the Old Mutual Iwyze Insurance has gone bankrupt or its systems have collapsed due to incapable personnel.
