Nedbank (Old Mutual Insure) motor vehicle policy with housing contents is a ****. Don't even try to take it. Here is a long story cut short: My wife locked herself outside our 1st floor townhouse through the sliding door. With difficulties of reaching out to me since I'm mostly in rural areas with no network during load shedding, she reached out to her sister who managed to organize locksmith to open for her. When asked about assisting with putting a new lock back, the locksmith was too expensive and my wife had to let him go. After she got hold of me, I told her that my insurance policy does cover that and I will get hold of them to see if they can assist with sending someone to put back the lock back. Guess what, I've been calling Nedbank for over 24 hours without anyone to assist now. The recent stunt they pulled is when another lady told me that they can only assist a person who can't access a house. This means my wife should have waited outside in this cold winter conditions until today when I successfully got hold of them for her to get inside the house. The same lady also told me that she's going to ask for advise for the Senior ****mer (Her Big Boss). I am not expecting anything from the Insurer because it is just pure *******, absolute madness. This nonsense of insurance companies like Nedbank Insurance not wanting to attend to claims must be exposed so that the whole world can distance themselves from ****s like Nedbank Insurance. ****s of high note which pride themselves in sucking out premiums monthly from policy holders and not wanting to pay out claims.
