Letter of Demand

I trust this email finds you well.

I am writing to formally submit a letter of demand for reimbur*****t of vehicle rental costs incurred while my claim (Policy/Claim number: C***, Policy number: ***, NFO reference: For[***]) was being resolved through the National Financial Ombudsman.

As previously stated, my claim with iWyze insurance, underwritten by Old Mutual Insure Ltd, was initially repudiated. This matter was subsequently overturned with the intervention of the National Financial Ombudsman. While I acknowledge and appreciate the settlement and the content regarding the insurance claim, I must highlight the additional financial burden I experienced due to the insurer's initial incorrect assessment.

During the six-month period that the matter was with the NFO, I had to rent a vehicle, incurring a total cost of R48,351.02 under a rental agreement . I believe that I should not be held liable for these costs, which arose directly from the insurer's negligence in correctly assessing my claim from the outset.

Therefore, I formally request reimbur*****t for the total cost incurred, amounting to R48,351.02, I hope to recieve your response within 5 working days. Please refer to the attached documents and invoices from the rental companies to reconcile the refund.
