IWYZE, YOUR INSURANCE ****MERS.

In mid-February, I attempted to cancel my policy with iWyze, giving them until the end of the month. They advised that they cannot accept a cancellation notice which is less than 31 days, or one should cancel instantly, which was a novel provision on the contract for a short term insurer. Further, they also advised that if you cancel instantly, there will be no refund due, just like other short term insurers do that you are covered up to your date of cancellation. However, if you cancel with immediate effect and they have already submitted their debit order, they will charge you an ‘administration fee’ of R450.

You can already see the pattern that they are trying to frustrate the cancellation process so much so that it is almost impossible to cancel without them benefits from the cancellation.

On the 28th of February, I cancelled with immediate effect. They advised that as they have already submitted the debit order so, they will pay me my refund within the next seven days less the R450.

Today, the 19th of March 2025, almost three times more days than they had advised that I will be refunded, nothing still. I called them, they told me that I will have to wait another week for him to process my refund.

It is not enough that they have a cumbersome cancellation process, they still renege from their cancellation clause that payment will be made within seven days and make it after four weeks without any reason whatsoever.

I have received terrible service from them, which I do not wish on someone else.
