Iwyze Old Mutual car claim rejection

Good day hellopeter. I have a very concerning issue with Iwyze Old Mutual car insurance.

My story goes as follows;

On the 1st of January 2024, I was involved in a car accident. I drove to the cemetery to visit my moms grave at around 06:45am (the distance of 5 min drive), on my way back home there was a car off road, as I was approaching on my lane, the car decided to get into the road trying to make a U-turn (two way carriage), and unfortunately it was to late and it bumped into me.

After the incident I collapsed and I was then rushed to the public hospital with an ambulance, that’s when before the police officers arrived. Due to my condition I was then taken to the private hospital (after finding out I have a medical aid). I was then admitted in Tzaneen’s Mediclinic hospital and later on discharged.

The case was then reported to the police station and the AR report was prepared. The 3rd party representatives was appointed by Iwyze to recover money from the other driver, after finding out the person did not have an insurance, they then decided to reject my claim. Long story short, the insurance declined my claim after more than 22 working days due the following reasons.

1. Left the scene ********ly 2. Material misinterpretation of facts

I tried to find clarification from the assessor of Iwyze and referred me to lodge an objection( if still rejected), approach ombudsman then court. The assessor never wanted to even give me full explanation of rejection.

May I please be assisted since I was also told to pay storage fees, and tour truck within 72hours. I do not know what to do anymore. The assessor was so rude to me and even didn’t have time for me.
