IWYZE ..... 'DISSERVICE'

My initial concerns were mailed to IWYZE on the 5th March and again a request for feedback on was mailed to them on the13th March. I then mailed ********** on the 16th April. I received a reference number and since there was no further communication as promised. I resent my complaint on the 27th April and then once again on 16 May due to no response.

After several failed attempts to contact the service provider and resolve matters directly today I have decided to post this complaint on Hello Peter.

I first signed up with IWYZE in May 2014. Part of their offering was a NO CLAIM REWARD BONUS after 3 claim free years and a NO CLAIM EXCESS WAIVER on your first claim after the 3 claim free years.

First in May 2017 I was REWARDED by IWYZE for not claiming for a 3yr period.

Then my excess was increased from R2750 to R3950 with unknown reason and without explanation together with the yearly increase in my premium.

A few months later in September 2017 someone reversed into the rear of my vehicle while I was stationary. I logged a claim. My NO CLAIM EXCESS WAIVER as per initial policy agreement was DECLINED!

My vehicle was driven unrepaired for 6 months!

In February 2018, as luck would have it, I was parked off in a parking lot and someone reversed into the front of my vehicle. I logged a claim again and was asked to pay the new excess of R3950 before my vehicle could be repaired – which I did with much difficulty.

After 6 months and several painful communications and pleas my excess waiver on the first claim was authorised and I was told it should never have been declined in the first place.

Now my latest policy is amended to reflect a further R3000 increase in excess due to 'the number of claims' (which according to the latest policy document reflects INCORRECTLY as 5 accidents in the last 5 years????) and there is a yet another subsequent increase in monthly premiums.

This in effect means that in addition to the already recently increased excess to R3950 I am expected to cover an excess of R3000 over and above that. This takes my excess up to R6950 for any future incident. The value of my vehicle is less that R30 000!

An even further excess has now been added for ATTEMPTED THEFT, THEFT OR HIJACKING????

I have been a loyal client since the inception of my policy. I have NEVER missed or been late with any payment of premiums. IWYZE dealing with yourselves has been most unpleasant. It seems that you have NO IDEA what you are doing!!!

Please provide feedback with regards to the recovery of my claims from the third parties (whom I have been requested not to liaise with as this may compromise recovery on your side) and my monies paid in terms of excess!!!

Please also let me know how the issue of MY no claim excess waiver being utilised in favour of the third party on my first claim will be addressed!!!

It is sad that after several pleas from myself for your assistance, my requests have still not been heard. It is most sad that the needs, interests and concerns of your clients are not taken seriously, especially loyal clients who continue to pay for your ‘disservice’!
