Iwyze car insurance

I had a car accident on 1 July 2022, I informed iwyze while at the scene and they promised to call me back to register my claim, which did not happen. I had to call them again and again until I reach them on Sunday (03 July 2022). On 04 July 2022 I received a whatsapp text that I need to take pictures of the vehicle where it was damaged. I have not received any communication from them except an sms received on 09 July 2022 that they are still validating my claim. My premium includes a courtesy car but the have never given me a car. How long does it take to validate a claim? Can I go ahead and fix the car myself then when thy finished with their process they will compensate me?
