Iwyze a nightmare

OLD MUTUAL IWYZE INSURANCE TWO MONTHS DELAY IN FIXING THE CAR *** *** Since my car accident on 11 November 2023, Old Mutual Iwyze Insurance is still refusing to fix damages. At the first the insurance refused to replace the damage radiator, steering knuckles, CTR & Rear Trim and wheels and shock absorbers. Replacement were done three months after the matter was escalated to the ombudsperson. Iwyze Insurance claimed that the excessive noise caused by the engine fan is not linked to the accident. The noise is so terrible that is it not safe to drive long distance since other initial damages were fixed in March 2024.

The unprecedented 60 days waiting period before the commencement of initial repairs and the refusal to fix the fan after 224 days following the accident is tantamount to the breach of contractual obligation to the detriment of customer. Therefore, Old Mutual Iwyze Insurance should be held accountable to fulfil the legally binding contractual obligation.
