I have been a client of IWYZE insurance since 2011 when I bought my first car. I currently pay a premium of R960 per month for insurance on a Hyundai i10 1.2L AT 2011 model. My car battery is currently flat and is at a friend's house with whom I was staying overnight. I called the iALERT Number to arrange a tow from my friend's house to a battery centre nearby. Imagine my surprise when I was told that iWYZE would only cover a tow from "point of breakdown" to the nearest DEALER! Being five years old, my car is out of warranty and the service plan is expired. It is more expensive to change the battery through a Hyundai dealer and to add to it, the battery centre I was intending to send my car to is 1.7km from "point of breakdown" while the nearest Hyundai dealer is further away! What have I been paying high premiums for for the last five years (claim-free I might add)? It's no wonder I made the decision last week to cancel my policy and change to another insurer. I could have just let this lie but I am also in a service profession and I feel it's important that other people are made aware of poor service.

We regret to hear that you were not happy about the service received from pur Roadside Assistance team, iAlert. Please know that iAlert was just following protocal as their mandate is tio tow our valued clients vehicle from point of breakdown to an accredited dealership nearby.
