EXCESS REIMBUR*****T
After I had an accident on 09/09/2015 my insurance IYWZE settled the debt I had with the bank. From the book value of my car they also deducted an amount of R2750.00 which is the excess. I queried why the excess had to come from the refund that was due to me and I was assured by both my insurer and the 3rd party who were responsible form my accident that as soon as the 3rd party pay my insurance the recovery, they will include the excess which will then be refunded to me by my insurer.
We are now on the 5th of November 2015 and I have not been refunded. The 3rd party acknowledge liability and stated that they will deal with my insurer direct.
I have been escalating this issue all over the place addressing both my insurer and the 3rd party's brokers but every time I am told that they are waiting to get their recovery after whatever is left of my car is sold.
Is this fair to me, when I am left with doctors and hospitals bills to pay? Is this how we have to be treated as clients? I did not cause this accident.
Can IYWZE please give me what is rightfully mine. I had to start from scratch to get a new car, this has set me back drastically as I was left with e few years to pay.
