"Doubling" my premiums from 1 claim in 6 years???

Good morning

I’m writing this to try understand why my insurance policy is almost doubling in premiums???

I’ve been with you for over 6 years now, I’ve claimed once (in august this year) for a TV set and because of that, my premiums are doubling and my excess goes from R500 to R1500???? What nonsense is this??? If this is a way of trying to chase me away, well, I’ll gladly take my business elsewhere. I’m not prepared for the so-called discounted premium one of your reps suggested of R730 or something.

So please help me understand why my premiums are increasing by soo much.
