Dont use iWYZE Home Insurance

A couple of months back I bought a new home and instead of using my usual bank insurance I decided to try a different home insurance iWYZE (Mutual & Federal, Old Mutual) after watching their ads on TV. What a mistake!

Today my geyser burst so I phoned i-alert to get an emergency plumber out. He arived and confirmed that the geyser is burst and isolated the geyser which is his mandate but then gave me the geyser details and left. I was then phoned by Malibongwe from iWYSE i-alert who advised that I needed to log a call with the claims department in the morning as they cannot log a claim, so tonight we sit without hot water.

At my previous property I made use of ABSA Home insurance who sent out a plumber to confirm the geyser had burst and that plumber in the event the geyser had burst had a spare geyser in his van and 2 hours later I had hot water again. Its literally that easy. But with iWYZE its a headache, I now have to wait another day after waiting for the plumber to confirm the burst geyser today to log a claim with the claims department as I-WYZE i-Alert is not linked and they cannot log the claim for me. *** they are the same company.

iWYZE Home Insurance, catch a wakeup
