DESPICABLE SERVICE
I had an incident whilst traveling from work on the 1st of October 2023, I drove into something on the road that resulted in a chunk of the left front rim breaking off and a bubble developing on the front right tyre. I requested roadside assistance a ND the car was taken to Renew It. After 2 weeks of back and forth, Iwyze approved the claim. The care was in repair for until the 9th of November when I was asked to pick up the car, on inspection I saw that the tyre front the damaged rim and the one with the bubble was transferred to the new set of rims. When I queried this I was told that that the tyres were inspected and was visually intact and I should monitor it when I drive. Not sure if I am supposed to put the lives of my family or my self in jeopardy. I also paid the agreed excess to the repair company. Whenn I folled up with the insurance consultant, Kefiloe, I was told that, they replaced the set of rims whilst only 1 rime was damaged, this was because they could not find the originals and I would have to pay half the cost of the rims before they would consider looking at the issue of the tyres. This request was not discussed with me prior, I was only told to chose a set of rims from the catalog that was sent to me by the repair company. As of yet I have not had any correspondence from Iwyze. This was my very 1st claim with them since I joined, not sure how much worse it would have been if the incident was bigger. The reason I joined Iwyze is because they are part of Old Mutual, and I thought I would be in good hands, but doesn't seem like. I am also becoming worried as I do have a few policies with Old Mutual, and I'm afraid that I might get the same treatment when I need to claim.
