Claim pay out

Joined insurance gap cover already pregnant October 2018 agent who assisted me told me waiting period is 3 months. January called to find out how I can claim from the insurance and each time would explain my situation and each agent including a manager asked when I joined the insurance and would explain. Now that I have submitted all documents requested from me they don't want to pay my claim. I paid a shortfall amount with the gynae. My premiums have been deducted from account each and every month without fail. Now I'm claiming I'm given stories. First I told it takes 2 weeks for a claim to be processed now I'm told again its rejected. I want my claim to be paid out as much as I was given a 3 month waiting period by the agent. Its not my fault that people who work for the insurance are busy giving me incorrect information. I will not he held responsible for incompetance.
