Claim Lost Due To Credit Check Done On Me Without Giving Consent

I had a claim with Iwyse and my partner is the policy holder and the only named driver on the policy. The assessor requested my wife to sign a consent form in order to complete an investigation. My wife signed the consent form and sent it back to him. "Modupi Mogano" I did not sign it cause it was not asked of me to do so. The assessor went ahead and retrieved information under my name. Is this not against the Popia act?
