Cancelled policy showing on credit report

I took insurance in car February which I cancelled within a week. My credit report is showing a short term debt for the monthly amount which is affecting my score.

How is an insurance product classified as debt? I need a letter explaining this for my home loan application ASAP and for this to be removed from my records
