Bogus R1750 Campaign by iWyze

I refer to Quote No: ***

I would like to launch an official complain against Old Mutual's iWyze division for false/********* advertising.

I'm sure you have seen television adverti*****ts by OUTsurance stating that if they can't beat your current insurer, they will pay R500 (if you've been insured for over a month or R1500 (if you've been with the same insurer & claim free for over 3yrs).

Well, I gave OUTsurance campaign a try and they couldn't beat my current insurer. Within 3 days of me sending my schedule and my NCL, the money was paid into my account, no stories, no tricks.

I was surprised to see a carbon copy of OUTsurance concept on TV. This time, by iWyze. Well, I decided to give them a try and quickly realized that this campaign was merely a PR gimmick to get people to call them and they need to be stopped asap. Not only did they ***** another insurer's concept, but UNLIKE OUTSURANCE, they don't keep their end of the deal.

So I decided to give iWyze campaign a try, they couldn't beat my current insurer and I was told to email my documents (my current policy schedule and my No Claims Bonus Letter) which I did. I was told that the documents will be forwarded to the underwriters "for review", and my assumption was that just like OUTSURANCE, this process entailed verifying the authenticity of the documents and comparing likes-for-likes. To my shock, this wasn't the case.

What followed next was that I received a revised quotation (attached herein) with a premium that beats my current insurer while initially, the quotation the sales consultant gave me couldn't beat my current insurer.

In short, there will NEVER BE ANYONE getting paid R1750 by iWYZE because they'll always come back to clients with a revised quote. How is this ethical advertising?

If OUTSURANCE is able to quote you and the premium the consultant gives you doesn't go for "review" and money is paid as promised, why can't iWyze do the same?

I therefore request the Ombudsman to get iWyze to stop this false advertising. This is a gimmick to get people to call in and it is grossly ********* and misleading.

I would also request the Ombudsman to check Hello Peter and Twitter, a lot of people are very unhappy about this false advertising and it should be stopped with immediate effect.

Listen and listen very carefully, it's been over 2 weeks since your response and still no communication from your non-existent department. If I don't hear from them by close of business tomorrow, expect a call from Sunday Times investigators.

What needs to happen here is people need to be fired. You, for giving automated replies & never bother to send feedback.

People who stole OUTSURANCE concept and those who gave this **** the green light also needs to be fired.

You are aware that this issue is not within the Ombudsman's mandate but let me tell you something, you're about to get a rude awakening of what the law does to ********* & false advertising.
