Be very careful with this awful insurance company and beware of the phony reviews!!!

I have been a loyal client of theirs for 5 years now, and in those years I have never claimed nor missed payment. I recently had a minor accident, the estimated damages were less that R20000. I accepted their quote and they referred me to Laborius panel beaters in Pretoria North. My car was fixed thought the work done on the car is/was substandard, I raised it up with the panel beaters they indicated that it was per their instructions. I decided that I would take the car then contact them for a way forward on how those misalignments would be fixed, as I was about to take the car I noticed that the lights were mis-functioning, I then called them to alert them that I will not take the car in that condition, they agreed that the car should not be taken, after a week I was called that my car is ready for collection but the lights were not fixed as they are fault is not accident related, however when I took my car in for body repairs everything was working.

The whole electrical system of my car is vokked, the windows are not opening, lights not working, I can’t even indicate nor put on hazards, in short my car is no longer road worthy and they is refusing to deal with the matter. If the system was vokked by the panel beaters then they should take them to task on fixing what they broke. I have now referred the matter to the ombudsman.

Please be very very careful with them, this insurance company sold me a bed of roses but in actual fact I only got the thorns. I wish I had stayed with Santam as I never experienced any problems with them!!
