Bad service

On the 13/12/20 at 5:30am I was driving my BMW318 and I stopped by the side of a road to have a prayer session, 10 minutes later I went back to the car and started the engine, and moved the gear from neutral to drive, however it went back to neutral. I then went outside the car and checked underneath the car and saw oil dripping. I immediately consulted IWYZE breakdown, and they asked if there was an external damage to the body to which I responded NO. They then organised a tow truck to take my car from the scene to BMW polokwane. BMW polokwane did diagnose and found that there was an external impact on the sump. The sump had a hole in it and the leaked oil somehow affected the gearbox. They explained that this is not covered by the motor plan because it is regarded as an accident.

I then contacted IWYZE and made a claim. IWYZE however rejected my claim, on the basis that the gearbox got damaged due to lack of lubrication.

But looking at the root cause of the gearbox damage, is because the sump got hit by an external object (probably arock) and it leaked oil, resulting in the gearbox getting damaged, so this is an accident.

IWYZE says the decision to get the car to a mechanic was a wrong decision, however I called IWYZE immediately when I noticed oil leak and there are the ones who organised a two truck
