I booked an IV with IV Plus in Knysna last week. After a 40-minute drive, I arrived at my appointment a few minutes early. When I went in, the nurse informed me that she couldn’t honour the appointment. I asked why, but she simply repeated that she couldn’t help. I explained that I had made a booking and driven 40 minutes to get there, but she again said she couldn’t help and suggested that I make another booking. Scheduling issues happen, but when they do, I think it’s polite to apologise, briefly explain the situation, and try to be helpful if possible. I felt rather irked that the nurse’s attitude was effectively, “too bad.” Regardless, I made another booking for the following day. Once again, I arrived a few minutes early. This time, nobody was there at all. I tried calling, but there was no answer. I waited an additional 30 minutes before heading home. It’s been a few days since that second appointment. I had hoped someone might call to apologise or suggest what to do next, but that hasn’t happened. In the end, I just got a multivitamin.
