LOTTERY WINNERS CHEATED BY ITHUBA
As someone who won a substantial amount, it is unacceptable that though I played online, am told that one has to wait for lockdown before getting their money. It is questionable that Ithuba allows us to place bets yet we have to wait to get paid. Just like banks, they can practice social distancing. Worst of all, with Lockdown extension being a possibility, it means we might have to wait for months, some might even get sick and die without winnings. Most likely, our monies probably make interest for Ithuba. I cannot be told that players have 365 days to claim. That would be by choice and not conditions set by Ithuba. They are refusing to make provision for people who win R50 000 or more. Worst part is that we may suffer financially during the lockdown where we have lottery money at Ithuba. It means we are playing just to sustain the income of Ithuba employees. If they can't pay, they should lockdown completely and suspend lotto. Jackpot winners can be assisted if these people are willing to do so. Right now it serves them well to keep funds of lottery winners.

Best regards,
At first it was that you won't pay certain amounts during 21-day lockdown, now that has been extended. Surely this situation calls for Ithuba to execute payments to winners. As an online player, I already have registered my details, including the very same bank account from which I made deposits into Ithuba account so I could play. And there's no doubt that certain payment can be made into bank accounts directly without any hassles.
I'm of the view that the only reason why Ithuba insist on hanging on to people's winnings, is only to earn interest from which winners are not going to benefit. Yes you supports lockdown and we all do, but some of these payment can be done remotely in support of lockdown.
Worst of all, they are telling us that they fear covid-19, it was suggested to me that I should make a loan from the bank and show them that am waiting for money. If banks can open for us to go and negotiate loans, surely those who are holding our money, can make provision for us to get our money. Lotto cannot keep running during lockdowns just to maintain profits so their employees can be paid.
Please Ithuba, be considerate
