Worse rental property ever- dont rent from Ithemba
Never have I ever dealt with such unprofessional company in my entire, if I was able to give the a rating of -100 I was going to do that.
I submitted notice to terminate my lease on the 30th August 2022 to move out on the 30 September 2022. I gave them 30 days notice as I'm required to. I gave my notice to terminate to Tshidiso who is an Assistant at Eyethu house, Trevor the building manager confirmed to have received my notice when I asked him
When I moved out no inspection was done and I didn't sign anything as Trevor told him it's fine I can go he will call me if he needs anything which till this date he never did. Before I left I asked Trevor for us to go and inspect the unit but he refused
To my surprise when I got my statement there was a charge for maintenance of R150. Maintenance for what? What did they have to do? No one seems to know. Ithemba decided to keep my deposit of just over R4500 that *******. I was also charged R75 for fumigating which was not on the lease. I have to R993 which I dont understand what is it for, this company is a **** I tell you
To avoid headache please stay away from this company
We are thankful that you shared this unfavorable experience with us.
It is important to note that deposits are paid out 30 days after moving out. This is because there are utility charges that are billed in arrears. There are also maintenance charges that would be considered as a result of repairs done in your unit. Once all these charges are finalized and deducted, then only can the final statement be issued and the deposit paid out.
However, you matter will be escalated to our billing department to investigate if the details around the charges on your final statement and an out inspection that shows the specific repairs done on your unit will be provide.
