Unfair withholding of part of my deposit

This company is not taking tenants seriously, they have responded on this platform that my matter is receiving attention , but they have never refunded part of my deposit which they know that I was taken unjustly so, how can you charge a tenant R374 for checking the serial number of the oven, total *******.
